Description
RF Analyser for High-Frequency EMF Detection
The HFW59D boasts the fastest response time among our meters, capturing complex signal bursts under 0.5 microseconds from wireless technologies such as 5G (up to 10 GHz), radar, Bluetooth, WLAN, WiMAX, and cordless telephones operating within the 2.4 GHz-10 GHz frequency range. Designed to detect, measure, and provide Audio Signal Analysis, the HFW59D effectively analyses modulated signals within this range, including high radar frequency bands (8.5 to 9.5 GHz), 4G, and 5G up to 10 GHz.
Log-Per Antenna for Exceptional Directional Capabilities
Thanks to its custom-designed log-per antenna, the HFW59D offers outstanding directional characteristics. As the only fully compensated RF analyser up to 10 GHz, it ensures that no frequency range is overrated, underrated, or ignored, making it an ideal complement to essential Building Biology equipment for the upper-frequency range.
Ultra-Reliable EMF Meter for Upper-Frequency
The HFW59D's unique broadband HF meter allows for accurate measurements of radar frequencies between 8.5 and 9.5 GHz, while its integrated high-pass filter at 2.4 GHz effectively suppresses dominant GSM and DECT frequencies for correct WLAN/WiFi and 5G frequency range measurements. The optimised Peak Hold function and fast response speed are made possible through patented circuitry.
Comprehensive Measurement and Interfacing Options
Equipped with calibrated AC measurement output for demodulated signals and scalable DC output, the HFW59D enables connections to oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, audio assessments, and data logging. The device is designed to measure modulated signals' peak values in "pulse" mode. It has a NiMH battery pack, charge control, and power supply unit to minimise battery wear.
Trusted and Reliable High-Frequency EMF Detection Tool
The HFW59D, with numerous patents and a track record of reliability, is a leading-edge device in its price category. It provides real-time, meaningful measurements and the SUM of all existing radiation at the measurement site. The device comes with detailed measuring instructions and limiting values, allowing for reliable evaluation of personal exposure without requiring technical expertise.

Features
Peak Value, and Average Value, of the modulated part of the signal.
Its patented Peak Hold mode features an extremely short response time and is optimised for precise response to complex RADAR signals and bursts of less than 0.5 microseconds, and equally valid for pulses emitted by smart meters. You can choose a time setting for the droop rate.
Accuracy / Linearity Tolerance: +/– 3dB; Zero offset and rollover +/- 5 digits
Measurement Range: Power flux density: 1-1999 μW/m²; optionally 0.01-19,999 μW/m², via three Measuring Ranges:
Measurement Range: Min: 1 – 1999 μW/m²
Measurement Range: Max: 0.01 – 19.99 mW/m²
Measurement Range (with opt DG20 attenuator): Min: 0.01 – 19.99 mW/m²
Measurement Range (with opt DG20 attenuator): Max: 1 – 1999 mW/m²
Measurement Range (with opt HV20 pre-amp): Min: 0.01 – 19.99 μW/m²
Measurement Range (with opt HV20 pre-amp): Max: 0.1 – 199.9 μW/m²
It contains an internal high pass filer at 2.4GHz to reliably suppress the often dominant GSM and DECT cordless phone frequencies
Maximum video bandwidth (VBW) enables capturing even the shortest radar pulses under 0.5μS.
Sophisticated Source Identification via its Directional LogPer antenna – readings and audio indicators increase when the antenna is pointed in the direction of or moved closer to sources, targeted or otherwise).
Audio Analysis: Identification of pulsed radiation sources (WLAN, WiFi, radar, etc.) and determination of increasing/decreasing emissions via an acoustic signal proportional to the modulation frequency and the field strength.
AC/DC signal output ports: Calibrated AC measurement output for the demodulated signal, scalable DC output. Facilitates equipment interfacing: oscilloscopes / spectrum analysers / full audio assessment / data logging (5mV DC or 10mV per digit) switchable.
Also available is a 3.3GHz HIGH PASS FILTER to narrow the bandwidth of the HFW59D from 2.4GHz-10GHz to 3.3GHz-10GHz, to avoid overlap with lower frequencies covered by the HF59B if you use one.
