How to Use

Place your key fob, contactless card, RFID item or small wireless device inside the Faraday Bag and close the magnetic flap securely.

When fully enclosed, the shielding material is designed to isolate wireless signals by blocking communication between the item inside the pouch and outside signal sources.

For best results, ensure the item is fully inside the shielded compartment and the closure is properly sealed. If the pouch is left open or the item is only partially inserted, signal blocking may be reduced.

To use your key fob again, simply remove it from the pouch.

FAQs

What is a key fob Faraday Bag used for?

A key fob Faraday Bag is designed to block wireless signals from reaching your key fob when it is stored inside. This can help reduce the risk of unauthorised signal access, including keyless car relay attempts.

Will my car key work while it is inside the pouch?

No. When the key fob is fully enclosed and the pouch is properly closed, the signal should be blocked. You will need to remove the key fob from the pouch to use it normally.

What signals does it block?

The pouch is designed to block common wireless signals including RFID, NFC, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, mobile, radio frequency and other wireless communication signals when the item is fully enclosed.

Can I use it for contactless cards?

Yes. It can be used for small RFID or NFC-enabled items such as contactless cards, access cards and ID cards, provided they fit inside the shielded compartment.

Can I use it for AirTags or small trackers?

Yes, it may be used for small trackable items that fit inside the pouch. When properly enclosed, the pouch is designed to block wireless communication from the item inside.

Does it have to be fully closed?

Yes. For the best shielding performance, the item should be fully inside the pouch and the magnetic closure should be securely shut.

Is it suitable for travel?

Yes. Its compact size makes it suitable for daily carry, commuting, parking, airports, hotels and travel where you want additional signal privacy for small items.

Is the outer material water-resistant?

Yes. The pouch has a water-resistant ballistic nylon exterior. It is designed for everyday protection, but it should not be submerged in water.
